We’re located on the Las Arenas side of La Paz, in the La Ventana Bay of Baja California Sur Mexico. Our Resort is rightfully named Vista Cerralvo, which means “View of Cerralvo”. The legendary Cerralvo Island lies directly in front of our beachfront location, just 6.5 miles out. Our resort will cater to all sportsmen with activities ranging from Sportfishing & Diving, to Kiteboarding & Windsurfing, yet offer plenty of activities for the entire family. You and your family can lay out poolside at our oceanfront swimming pool with swim up bar, while enjoying a spectacular view of Cerralvo Island, and La Ventana Bay. Our rustic suites and bungalows will transform you back to the days of the old Baja traveler, with a complete lack and feel of a Cabo or La Paz corporate style hotel. Isla Cerralvo is the southernmost island in the Sea of Cortez, and marks the northernmost point of Baja’s East Cape.

Our Baja Sportfishing Resort in Baja Mexico is located where La Paz’ Las Arenas side overlaps with the East Cape region of Baja California Sur Mexico. Don’t be on the last boat out to the fishing grounds! Hotel Vista Cerralvo is just minutes away from the world famous Cerralvo Island, the 88 Bank, Roca Montana, Punta Arena, Punta Perico, El Bajo, La Reina, La Reinita, Las Cruces, Muertos Bay, & El Sargento!

Fishing this area from La Paz is a 75 mile round trip boat ride to the north end of Cerralvo. From Los Barriles, it’s also a 75 mile round trip boat ride to the southern end of Cerralvo. Other hotels do offer shuttle services back and forth through the desert mountain roads to reach our area, but it’s a two hour round trip! When your boat returns to Hotel Vista Cerralvo, you can first grab an ice cold drink, then grab your fly rod or spinning gear and continue fishing for Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, Pompano, Pargo, and Cabrilla right from our beachfront on foot, kayak, or ATV! It’s very common to see huge Roosters and Jacks crashing baitfish right from our beachfront location. All pelagic gamefish entering the Sea of Cortez must first pass Cerralvo Island, while migrating both in and out of the Sea of Cortez.

This region is a haven for Baja Fly Fishing enthusiasts in pursuit of a world record, or the fish of a lifetime! After all, the World Record Roosterfish of 114 pounds was caught just a few miles from our resort!
